Alfred Wong

Alfred Wong is the CEO of Ballard China. He holds P&L responsibility for Ballard’s business in China and its joint venture with Weichai Power. He also serves on the board of directors of Wisdom Motor.

In his 22 years with Ballard, Alfred has led global technical and commercial teams focused on helping customers transition to hydrogen energy in mobility and stationary power applications.  He has spearheaded some of the industry’s largest fuel cell programs and partnerships, and worked with stakeholders to deploy over 3,500 fuel cell electric vehicles in various demonstration fleets.

Alfred is a licensed Professional Engineer (Canada), and holds B.A.Sc. and M.Eng. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, a MBA from Simon Fraser University, and an executive leadership certificate in Corporate Governance from Stanford University.
