Regional Director

Mr. Paul Tai is the Regional Director – Far East of Mainetti Group, a leading global retail solutions provider. Paul is also the founder of M-Care – a new vertical launched during the pandemic in 2020 for healthy and sustainable lifestyle consumer goods in the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) market.

At Mainetti, he is pivotal in various major expansion and acquisition projects. With Paul’s leadership, Mainetti has expanded from a start-up to a regional company with more than ten operations in Korea, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Australia and Japan.

Paul is also dedicated to improving our community. He is leading Mainetti to support various corporate and private social responsibility projects in Asia. With his guidance, Mainetti has completed two school rebuilding projects in the Mainland and contributed to causes benefiting underprivileged children in Mainland China and the Far East region.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the industry and society, Paul received the Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries in 2012. He was also elected President of the Council in 2021/2022. He is currently the Governor of Music Children Foundation, the trustee of Chiu Lut Sau Memorial Secondary School Education Fund, Council member of The Better Hong Kong Foundation and Vice-Chairman of Group 15 of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Paul is a chartered accountant in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore, with an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

My Sustainability Goals for 2022:

Amongst various ESG objectives, Paul is passionate about UN Sustainable Development 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. He believes in universal efforts to reduce cross-generational poverty to balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. To that end, education, mental well-being and job opportunities are key areas our society should focus on improving.
