River Lam

River is the Co-Executive Director of Teach For Hong Kong, a non-profit organisation that nurtures future leaders to bring educational equity. Through the organization’s flagship fellowship program, River is dedicated to recruit, train and empower young professionals and graduates to transition into impactful leaders within the education system and social impact sector.

With more than a decade of experience in the commercial and social enterprise sector, as well as certification as a leadership coach and ESG planner, River brings a wealth of expertise in talent development, social innovation, and facilitate cross-sector collaboration to create more pathways for young professionals and graduates to contribute their talent and fresh perspectives towards addressing Hong Kong’s social challenges.

My sustainability goals for 2024:

My aspiration is to see our society prioritise the cultivation of leadership, particularly among young graduates and professionals, as a key strategy to tackle the world’s complex challenges. I believe by empowering these emerging leaders with the necessary skills, real-world experience and decision-making autonomy, we can build communities that are more resilient and sustainable.
