Crisis often pushes migrant domestic workers and their families into financial insecurity. Through emergency aid, case management, and employment guidance, this project helps workers recover stability, sustain their livelihoods, and continue supporting their families back home. - Gender Equality (SDG 5):
With around 98% of domestic workers being women, gender-based violence remains a serious and persistent risk. During times of crisis, many find themselves isolated, vulnerable, and unsure where to seek help. We provide both immediate assistance and long-term support, ensuring that women workers can access justice, secure their safety, and rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. - Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8):
Many domestic workers lack access to fair labour practices or reliable information on their employment rights. By providing access to timely legal advice and personalised assistance, this project helps ensure fair treatment, promotes decent work conditions, and promotes employability. - Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10):
Migrant domestic workers often face systemic barriers to justice and social inclusion. We strive to provide them with equal access to legal help and redress mechanisms, access resources in their own language without fear of judgment ensuring that no worker is left without recourse. - Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17):
HELP works closely with the Coalition of 14 MDW NGOs, law firms, government bodies, and consulates to coordinate care and reduce barriers for those in need. By strengthening these networks, the project creates a more efficient, compassionate response system ensuring that every worker can find the right help at the right time.
